Two more updates: we have WCC magnets on order (thanks Stickermule!) and we were featured in the Portage County Gazette (many thanks to Taylor Hale and Mike Wiza for that)!

Unfortunately the one above wasn't ready for the printers, so had to improvise for the hard copy ones for what's below. They didn't turn out half bad, and there are quite a few out and about around the city already.

I knew I was forgetting something, and hopefully the posters was the only thing I missed. 😬

How big is the statue going to be?
It really depends on what the project shapes up to be, and what our final budget will be. I want it to be life size, at least.

I'll have more on this soon, as word spreads and interest builds, our position grows ever more favorable for state art grants and other funding. I know I'm not the only person who really does want to see some sort of Robocop art piece in the city, and it is entirely feasible to get something in the next few years. In the meantime, the folks working on the project and I will keep chugging along until we have something tangible- an with events like the Stevens Point Robo-Cup, we can have some fun on the way too!

Behold, the coveted Robo-Cup trophy!

This beautiful piece was created by our friends over at Awards & Gifts by Point Trophy LLC (website HERE), over on Patch street. My phone photography really doesn't do it justice, it is a stunning piece, and I'm confident whoever wins on Saturday will be very pleased with it.

I really haven't talked much about prizes, but beyond the trophy there will also be some gift cards and other odds and ends for the winner, 2nd place, and 3rd place. Many thanks to the local businesses that have helped us with this, both in supporting the Wisconsin Computer Club itself, our shows and programs, and with pledges to support our ambitions going forward... even the ones that are a little bit crazy. ;)

Again, good luck to whoever can get the highest score!

I love the RoboCop quote on the bottom! That is one sweet trophy!

Looked great! I don't think I've ever seen a TI-99 before that last picture. It looks like they had a nifty take on putting a cartridge slot on your typical wedge style computer--keeps it very visible to the user and doesn't stick "up," at the expense of requiring additional width for the device.
