I would love to make an Apple 1 replica! There is no way that I would ever be able to afford a real Apple 1 so that would be the next best thing!

I second that! Although I seem to remember even the replicas being expensive!

I really hope that a museum or even Apple were the ones to purchase this piece. Such an important piece of not only Apple's history, but computer history in general. Would be great to be in the public view instead of a personal collection piece for someone. Either way, I am just glad that the computer "survived" these past years.

Agreed! I'm hoping it goes into some sort of "visible" collection at some point.

An odd question- would an Apple 1 be more valuable at auction as a "complete" unit, or if there was a broken one that we knew for certain was broken by Steve Jobs?

That’s a great question! It would be a hard answer for me. If I had the choice to pick between the two, I think I would have to pick the broken one from Steve Jobs. Though I would honestly be perfectly okay with any Apple 1 in any condition.

Auction wise, I think this Apple 1sold for around the same price as other Apple 1 computers have recently. Hard to say I guess. I would suspect in the long run, this one would be more valuable due to it being a prototype and broken by Jobs himself.
