Enhancer 2000 Disk Drive with ADB

Interesting how most of the clones of the 1541 are much smaller than the real 1541.

    Crazy Keyboards!

Many thanks to @DeanG for helping us score this one, it's a Bella Pro Series keyboard, designed for video editing professionals. This one is set up for use with Final Cut Pro, which lucky for us, was the editing program my father used extensively on all of his Power Macintosh G4 machines. The...

    Crazy Keyboards!

Spotted on eBay, the "Bloomberg Terminal Keyboard" Looks like it incorporates extra keys for special functions, and a fingerprint scanner of some sort under the number pad.

    Crazy Keyboards!

I have a thing for unusual keyboards, and thought a thread detailing some of the oddballs I've picked up and some of the oddities I've seen out on eBay and Craigslist might be kinda fun! Starting off strong, here in the collection, is the PC Gamer's Ultimate Weapon... or so the joke has been...

    Tandy CoCo collection in IL

I'm not sure on the valuation of the lot- the computers themselves have an "average" eBay price of about $200 each, so the real value is in all of the accessories and software, which I don't really know how to put a price on either way. The whole Tandy CoCo ecosystem is somewhat outside my...

Any computing fun at The Energy Fair?

I didn't even know that was happening this weekend, man I am out of the loop! 😵

Old Computer Books: What are you looking for?

Very cool! I'm always on the lookout for period repair guides or manuals- the "SAM'S Computerfact" series springs to mind. I get the feeling most of those have long since been recycled though, and the digital copies on the internet archive might be all that's left. I recently acquired a whole...

    Colecovision!

Here's a look inside the Coleco Expansion Module 1- yep, it is basically all the guts of an Atari 2600 in there. That and a lot of dust!

    Colecovision!

Here it was before I put the cover back on. The upper RF shield has a lot of rust on it, so I'm leaving that off until I've had time to tackle that. It shouldn't affect the console at all.

    Commodore 65 Prototype

I recall the replica, though not the name. I'm kicking myself for not jumping on those photos sooner- this one did appear to be the real deal from Commodore with MOS chips.

Color Computer 1 in White, not Silver

Interesting! I guess I didn't realize Tandy swapped cases around that much.

    Free Geek Chicago Closing

I heard word from the Chicago Classic Computers user group that Free Geek Chicago (one of the five Free Geek operations in America) is shutting down for good. Their post about it is HERE.

    Colecovision!

Looks like eBay prices have it between $40-$60, though I do see most are sold as "untested" or "for parts." I haven't tested this one yet as I'm still working on getting the main system back in shape. I'd expect it'll work though- these old consoles are surprisingly hardy.

    Commodore 65 Prototype

I didn't even manage to get all the photos saved before the seller pulled down the listing (which was HERE). Not too many of these were made, so I do wonder which one this is- last I knew all of Commodore's prototypes were pretty much accounted for. They stated in the listing that they wanted...
