Hello everyone! It's time again to start talking shows!
While we haven't heard exactly "where" yet, the WCC is slated to have a booth at the Vintage Computer Festival Midwest this year in Chicago (September 10-11) but I still want to have a more "local" show here either sometime before or after the VCF event. I know we've discussed a few different ideas, and I wanted to formally open up the floor to everyone for discussion on that topic.
A few pieces of useful info:
-We are always welcome at the Portage County Library, presuming we can give them about 10 days notice to get the Pinery room, which we've had a few times already.
-We're also welcome at District 1 Brewing on the north side of Stevens Point, where we held the Stevens Point Robo-Cup, which is a smaller space for us, but seems much busier overall.
-We may have access to a venue in Marshfield Wisconsin, though I have to work out some details with the owner there to be sure.
-We can get into most regional libraries, depending on which ones we're interested in going to.
I'm happy to do the legwork organizing whatever, whenever. First things first though, where would you all like to go for the next show? We can get the ball rolling from there.
Thanks everyone!
