I recently posted a few of the WCC's photos to Reddit, and someone over there pointed me to THIS article on the story behind Tetris Max, written by the games author Steve Chamberlin.
I never really played Tetris Max very much, but I have played a lot of Bricklayer for PC, and I'm rather happy to find they're actually the same game sold by the same guy, and not a clone by somebody else.
