The Wisconsin Computer Club is (as usual) working towards the goal of yet more public events for the month of July. Unfortunately, we didn't get anything booked in June, so we're hoping for better luck this month. Here's where we stand:
The Portage County Library System is keen to book us when they can. No word on when that will be exactly.
The library in neighboring Wisconsin Rapids, McMillian Memorial, isn't able to have us until 2022 at the earliest. When I spoke with them, I think they misunderstood what we were asking for in terms of space, so I'll reach out again to see if some clarification might get us a shot at hosting a show over there.
Neither the Marshfield library nor Wausau library have returned my calls. So, that leaves us with a few more options going forward.
We can still host a park outing, as mentioned previously, or I'm seeking a venue where we can host a LAN party and/or an actual show. I've reached out to a few places, hopefully I'll hear back from them soon!
