Zenith MiniSport Laptop

Here's something kinda novel, the Zenith MiniSport is the only computer released in North America that used (or planned to use) the 2" LT floppy disk format, which Zenith alone thought would take off. I've never seen one working before, but they've got DOS 3.3 in ROM so that's kinda cool. Listing is HERE.

A bit more info on the MiniSport, I actually have one. It was cooked, quite literally I'm afraid, by it's former owner, so it's unlikely it will ever work again. That said it's still a neat piece and I'm hoping to incorporate it into the recycling display at some point- if nothing else to justify it continuing to be in the collection and not recycled outright.

The Wikipedia article (short as it is) is available HERE for those curious to learn more. It's always interesting to me how despite being thought of (more or less) as PC-clone manufacturers, Zenith Data Systems actually made some pretty wild things over the years- and the MiniSport is definitely that!
