Amiga 500 Repair

Mr. Jaeger said he needed some help with his Amiga 500, and I was able to get it working in a roundabout way. The floppy drive has definitely seen better days, but when you jump to USB, it doesn't matter as much.

I do love to see more Amigas on the road! This one will likely be at LincCon in August, Evercon next year, and a few others.

My first A500 had a bad keyboard membrane. So I had to purchase a separate, used keyboard from a guy in Germany. The original one was the two-membrane design. I have seen replacement membranes for the single ones but not for the duals.

I was thinking of maybe converting this keyboard to a replacement single membrane with a new controller board. Wonder if anyone has attempted that yet...

I've only ever encountered the single membrane design so far- if I find another, I'll let you know!
