BitHistory Visit

I had the opportunity to visit the BitHistory shop, a retro tech operation that resells vintage computers while working to preserve/repair old tech of every stripe. It was very, very cool. Their website is over at BitHistory.org, and they're located near Appleton WI.

A few photos of their collection and shop space:

As I understand it, they have aspirations to open a museum. I'm really looking forward to seeing that!

Mad props are due to @PS2it for connecting me with these folks!

Thank you for the photos! I've missed both of the times they've had open houses now due to other commitments and am going to be out of state during your own Plover happenings next week, ugh!

I love seeing the Commodore monitors, simply because I once had one many years back before I realized that some visual problems are easily fixed with a simple recapping and I got rid of it... I'm also sort of at the point where I have as many vintage machines as I can possibly fit and use, just need to find more time to enjoy using them!

We'll have plenty more shows and events, and it sounds like BitHistory is going to have plenty more sales. We'll catch you sooner or later! ;)

It certainly was a fun sale! They always have some unusual equipment there, along with the usual stuff!

Looks awesome! So how do we find out about upcoming sales? How were the prices?
So far they’ve only been posting on their Facebook groups. Usually a couple weeks beforehand.

Prices aren’t too bad, most of the time you gather up anything of interest and make an offer. Their pretty negotiable on prices too.
