Hello everyone, apologies for the delay on this one. I really did want to craft a video for this, but after a string of technical difficulties, I don't want to delay this posting any further.
An extremely generous donor reached out to me, and donated this absolutely beautiful Tektronics TAS 465 oscilloscope to the club for us to use.
An oscilloscope is an invaluable tool when troubleshooting problems with ground faults, data issues, and other component issues inside of vintage tech of all sorts. In many cases, an oscilloscope is the best means to "rule out" certain faults or errors from troubleshooting examinations, as it can "see" problems in a way that multimeters and logic probes can't, and give that information back to it's operators.
Thanks to it's compact an portable size, I expect this will be a regular feature at the workshop events we've been batting around. Likewise, for those who might need to use it, it is here at my shop here in Stevens Point. If you've got a project in need of some deeper analysis, contact me so we can get it done.
