Polystation Advance PS-1111

Sometime in the early 2000's, a manufacturer in China had an idea- they could make a knockoff Playstation and no one would ever be able to tell the difference! Well, except for most of us, but they made it anyway, and here it is!

The unit itself is styled after (and about the same size as) the Playstaion PS one, SCPH 100 series console. It weighs a fraction of what the real Playstation does though.

Pressing "Open" pops both lids open, and the differences are somewhat more apparent.

A closer look at the console itself and it's controller. It has two of them, plus a light gun that "might" be an actual light gun.

Left to right: Power jack (9volts, center negative), mono audio, composite video, and RF out (channel 3).

It requires wall power to play either the NES clone system or the LCD game in the lid. Theoretically one could play both at the same time.

One of the Polystation controllers- it's got some plastic wear from a chemical reaction from the cords. While it's light and the buttons "wiggle" it's not awful- I've had "real" PlayStation controllers from 3rd parties that were about as good as this one.

Atari style connector. No idea the pinout.
