The guy running the recycling event said that nothing could be taken, though he was willing to bend the rules for me/us/the club, so I was able to grab "a few" TV's. I stretched that as far as I possibly could under the circumstances. The requirements had to be brutal. The sets had to be small, as I would rather save many small sets than a couple big ones given the sort of events we do, and how many members might want these. I also aimed for older, more "aesthetic" sets. Handles were important, as I wanted to be able to move them two or even three at a time if I could. I wasn't sure when the guy was gonna cut me off.
So, here's what we got!
Brands, from left to right- RCA, Motorolla, Hitachi, Admiral, Zenith, GE, Goldstar, Magnavox, Sears, GE.
I wanted many more, but this is all I could get away with- more than many others could.
I'm glad I got what I did though- of those tested (some have had their cords cut, and will need them replaced) have worked fine.
Once I've had a chance to clean these up, they'll be off to the CRT Preserve, where they'll be on offer to club members. I'm confident with you all they'll go to good homes.
